Oyo acquires s Danish chain Bornholmske

On Tuesday, Oyo announced that it has completed the acquisition of Bornholmske Feriehuse, a provider of vacation rentals situated in Europe, through its subsidiary DanCenter. According to the company, the move is a part of its effort to become a full-stack vacation home supplier.
More than 700 residences are available on Bornholmske Feriehuse’s platform, which is headquartered on the Danish island of Bornholm. Oyo stated that it anticipates exceeding 250,000 visitor nights in 2022. The company added that the acquisition demonstrates its dedication to the Danish foreign affairs ministry’s ‘Invest in Denmark’ initiative. It said that the newest acquisition would increase its presence in Denmark and across the continent of Europe.
Oyo recently completed the acquisition of the European company “Direct Booker,” with more than 3,200 houses and 2 million clients served to date. According to Anne Hougaard Jensen, head of Invest in Denmark, “tourist investments are vital for the Danish economy, producing numerous direct and indirect jobs.” “Denmark provides foreign investors with favorable regulatory framework circumstances and the chance to combine local knowledge with contacts and skills on a global scale.
According to Ritesh Agarwal, global CEO of Oyo, Bornholm Feriehuse has a lot of promise for tourism in the future. To advance the growth of tourism in Bornholm and Denmark, he stated, “We are pleased to extend cooperation to the Invest in Denmark program.” The company’s guest nights have recently smashed records, according to Rasmus Lund, director of Bornholmske Feriehuse, and demand for vacation rentals from overseas visitors has been especially strong.
As a result, he said, “the partnership with Oyo through DanCenter A/s allows us the opportunity to keep up with demand, just as our homeowners also benefit from the several web portals that DanCenter interacts with.” The deal could increase the rental percentage for our numerous vacation house owners while also bringing in money and creating jobs in Bornholm. Rasmus Lund will continue to lead Bornholmske Feriehuse, according to Oyo.
